One line per cell, on the same scale for everyone; access is shown when it makes a difference (Higher plan, Add-on, Beta). “No”: the tool does not offer it; “Not documented”: absent from the documentation we read. Reference price: the price of the plan that carries the scored features, excluding asterisked add-ons, per user per month on annual billing, with the currency, taxes and seat minimum as the vendor publishes them; below it, the entry plan and what it lacks (or, for custom pricing, the highest public plan). The detail of each cell is in the tool’s profile.

Our method

This grid measures one thing only: what a tool brings a sales team to sign more deals with its proposals. It is not a compliance, security or price grid: that information stays in the profiles, unscored.

Eleven criteria follow the course of a sale, from preparing the meeting to the signature and leading the team. For each one, before scoring, we wrote down what earns 0, 1, 3 or 5 points, based on observable facts: a feature described in the vendor’s documentation, help center or pricing page. A feature seen only in marketing does not count; in beta, it counts one level lower. We score each tool’s best published offer, add-ons included; the plan required is shown alongside, and an asterisk (5*) marks a feature available at extra cost.

The score is the average of the eleven criteria, rounded to one decimal place. It is shown only for proposal software; the other tools have their profile, without an average.

We make Cuevr and chose these criteria knowing our product. Three of them (starting from the client’s stakes, reviewing the proposal before sending, answering RFPs and tenders) cover steps where no other proposal software in this comparison reaches the top level; three others place Cuevr behind other tools. Review of October 13, 2026. A vendor spots an error: write to us, we correct it within five business days.

The eleven criteria, and why they help you close

Prepare and write the proposal

  1. Start from the client’s stakes: A proposal that answers the client’s real stakes, criteria and decision makers gives them a reason to choose you; an incomplete discovery leaves points unaddressed.
  2. A complete proposal without starting from scratch: A proposal built for this deal, with the company’s approved content, answers this specific client, and the time saved goes back into the deal.
  3. A beautiful, on-brand proposal, with no layout work: Prospects judge how serious a supplier is by the form; a polished, consistent proposal reassures without costing hours.
  4. Know before sending whether it convinces: A weakness spotted before sending can be fixed; found by the prospect, it costs the deal.
  5. Build the proposal as a team: Big deals need the expert, presales or the manager: having them contribute in the same document gives a better answer, faster.

Get it signed

  1. Know who reads and when to follow up: A follow-up at the moment the prospect is rereading, with the right person, moves the decision forward.
  2. Get signed without friction or dispute: A prospect who has decided signs where they read; signer verification and proof of the version keep a signature from being challenged.
  3. Price and collect payment in the proposal: A clear quote, options to choose from and a deposit paid at signing turn agreement into commitment.

RFPs, CRM and team

  1. Answer RFPs and tenders without missing anything: A missed requirement or an outline not followed eliminates a bid before its arguments are read.
  2. The deal connected to your CRM: The deal context goes into the proposal without re-entry, and reads and the signature flow back to where sales reps plan their follow-ups.
  3. Lead the sales team: A manager who sees each rep’s results and the deals that need action knows who to help, and when.

Quick answer

To get tailored proposals signed, from qualification to follow-up: Cuevr, our tool.

For a high volume of quotes and contracts driven from the CRM: PandaDoc.

For interactive, highly visual web proposals: Qwilr.

For a dedicated team that answers many RFPs: Loopio or Responsive.

Who writes this comparison. We make Cuevr. We scored it on the same grid as the thirteen other tools, with the same level of detail in every column, and its profile also says what it does not do. Every fact about another tool links to its source, checked on the date shown. A vendor who reports an error to us sees it corrected within 5 business days.

How to choose

Proposal software is for preparing, writing, sending and getting an offer signed. An RFP response platform is for answering a buyer’s documents, within their framework. The two overlap: the right question is not “which one is best”, but “at what point in the sale do you lose your deals”. The table’s columns ask that question, the same for everyone:

  • Prepare: does the tool help you understand the client before you write?
  • Write: where does the content come from, who builds the structure?
  • Track: what do you know about the reading, by whom, and when to follow up?
  • Sign: what level, is the signer verified, what proof, AES or QES?
  • RFPs and tenders: does the tool start from the buyer’s documents and check that every requirement is covered?
  • Reference price: not scored; the price of the plan that carries the scored features, then the entry plan and what it lacks.

Sources and corrections

We chose the tools sales teams compare most often before deciding, from proposals to RFPs, general-purpose tools included. Every column of the table asks everyone the same question and answers on the same scale, with the same level of detail: never a tick against a nuance. The facts come from vendor websites, pricing pages and documentation, and from our own trials where possible; anything that rests only on a vendor’s claims is written “according to the vendor”.

Every profile is reviewed each quarter. A vendor we cite can report an error to us: we correct it within 5 business days and update the date.

  • The value: the answer to the column’s question, on the same scale for everyone (for tracking, for example: opens, per page, per section, named readers).
  • Higher plan, Add-on, Beta: reserved for a plan above the entry plan; paid on top; in beta according to the documentation.
  • No, Not documented: the tool does not offer it; absent from the documentation we read.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best proposal software?

The one that covers the moment you lose your deals. To get tailored proposals signed, from qualification to follow-up after sending, Cuevr is built for that. For a high volume of documents driven from the CRM, or highly visual web proposals, other tools in this comparison are a better fit.

What is the difference between a sales proposal and an RFP response?

A sales proposal follows your method; an RFP response follows the framework set by the buyer.

Why is Cuevr in this comparison?

Because it is our product and it answers the same question.
