What is proposal tracking software?
Definition
Proposal tracking software measures what happens after you send a sales proposal or a quote: who opens it, how long each reader spends on it, which sections they look at and whether they come back. In Cuevr, these facts land in the deal file, and the dashboard turns them into the deals that need action today.
From opened to read, section by section.
An opening only tells you the link was used. Cuevr tells you who read, what, for how long and when.
Every reader, by name
A proposal that moves changes hands: it goes to your contact, then to the people who decide. Each person invited by email reads through a named link, and so does each colleague added through resharing. You know who the proposal has reached, including people you have never met.

The sections that hold attention
What a prospect rereads is what they are weighing. Cuevr shows you the time spent on each section and the ones they come back to: you know where to take the conversation before you pick up the phone.
Reading by section
Tracking in detailReading heat, reader by reader
Each reader carries a heat level, from cold to red-hot, and the activity calendar sets their readings next to the deal milestones. You see the curve, not just the last click: a deal warms up or cools down well before anyone tells you.
Cold · Lukewarm · Warm · Red-hot
The signals that tell you what to do today
Which deal should you call this morning? Every day, the dashboard surfaces the deals that need action, ranked by priority, each with its signal and its evidence. The owner and the admins see the same view for the whole team.
- Strong comeback, new readers: the deal is moving, time to call
- Never opened, inactive: check the delivery before following up on substance
- Signature opened: remove the last obstacle

The signals, one by oneA link you control, even when it travels
If it’s circulating on your prospect’s side, that’s a good sign; you still need to know where it’s going. You choose who can read it: invite only, password protected, public or no one at all. Each authorized reshare creates a named link, and you can remove an access or unpublish whenever you want; the history stays.

Frequently asked questions
Can you tell whether a prospect has read a quote?
Yes, as soon as the quote is part of a proposal published with Cuevr. You see who opened it, how long each person read it, which sections, and when. If nobody has opened it, Cuevr tells you that too: before following up on substance, check the delivery first.
Will I know who read my proposal?
Yes, if you share it by email: each invitee reads under their own name, and so does each colleague added through resharing. With a public link, an unknown reader stays an anonymous visitor. Cuevr never guesses a name from an address.
Does Cuevr follow up with the prospect automatically?
No. A good follow-up is decided, not automated: Cuevr tells you which deal needs action and what has been read; the message and the timing stay yours. Cuevr doesn’t send you an email on every reading either; to receive the signals in another tool, you send them there by webhook.
What happens if the link is forwarded?
It all depends on the access you chose. With public access, whoever receives the link can read, and you see them show up, anonymous if their email isn’t known. Invite only, a forwarded link is not enough: it takes the code sent to the invited address. If you want the proposal to circulate, allow resharing: each new person gets a named link, and Cuevr lets you know.
Will a prospect who reads a lot sign?
Not necessarily. A reading is not a signature: heat describes what the prospect did, not what they will decide, and a heavily reread section can hide an objection as easily as a dense passage. Cuevr gives you the fact; the judgment stays yours.
How is this different from email open tracking?
Cuevr tracks the proposal, not the envelope that carries it. You see each reader, the time spent on each section, the return visits to the proposal and the new readers when it circulates, up to the opening of the signature form. And the dashboard draws the deals to handle from it.
What happens to tracking when I update the proposal?
Nothing is lost. The link stays the same: republishing adds a new version, and the tracking shown covers the latest one published. The prospect’s decisions and the opening of the signature form stay attached to the proposal.
