Cuevr or Better Proposals: which one should you choose for your sales proposals?

Better Proposals lays out your proposals from polished templates, gets them signed and collects payment right after. Cuevr takes the deal earlier: it qualifies it, writes the proposal with Cuevr AI, reviews it before sending and tracks every reader. Here is where each one is best, with dated sources.

Criterion by criterion

The verdict

Choose based on how you sell.

Choose Better Proposals if…

Polished proposals, paid at signing

  • You are a freelancer or a small agency looking for a low entry price.
  • You want to collect payment at signing (Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal), then move straight on to client onboarding.
  • You build your quotes from a catalog of products and services.
  • You already write with your own AI tool and want to connect it through MCP (Premium plan).

Less suited if

you want to qualify the deal before writing and have the substance of the proposal reviewed before sending; you answer RFPs and tenders.

Choose Cuevr if…

Proposals written to get signed

  • Every proposal is written for one client and has to convince several decision makers.
  • You want to qualify the deal, then have Cuevr AI write from the qualification, your knowledge base and specialized agents designed on the best sales methods.
  • You want to know before sending whether the proposal convinces, and after sending who reads it and when to follow up.
  • You also answer RFPs and tenders, public and private.

Less suited if

you want to collect payment in the proposal or start from a catalog; you need a native CRM connector (Cuevr connects through its API and webhooks) or comments in the proposal.

If you remember one thing

Better Proposals handles layout and payment; Cuevr AI writes the proposal from the qualified deal.

In short

Definition

Quick answer

Better Proposals is the right choice to send, from polished templates, proposals the client signs and pays right away. Cuevr is the right choice to get proposals written for each client signed: it qualifies the deal, writes with Cuevr AI, analyzes the proposal before sending, tracks every reader and gets it signed; it also answers RFPs and tenders. The two can work side by side: Cuevr for proposals won on substance, Better Proposals for catalog quotes paid online.

What Better Proposals does really well

Better Proposals is a mature tool, designed so the proposal looks good and the client says yes without leaving the page. For a small business that sells on quotes, it is a solid choice, with a 14-day trial and no credit card.

Document system messages exist in 27 languages, including French, set per brand. [10]

  • Design without a designer

Brand set once (colors, logo, font pairings, emails), multiple brands (Premium) and prebuilt sections in several styles. [3] [4]

  • Quotes that sell

Interactive pricing tables, options the client ticks with a recalculated total, and a “Products and Services” catalog with billing frequency. [1] [5]

  • Payment at signing

Stripe (fixed amount, percentage, first month, then subscription), GoCardless and PayPal, from the first plan. [1] [6]

  • After the signature

Onboarding flow with meeting booking and forms (Premium). [1]

  • Precise tracking

Time per page and per recipient, reading order, downloaded pages, name of the person the proposal was forwarded to. [7]

  • Teamwork in Enterprise

Simultaneous editing, comments with mentions, manager approvals, HubSpot and Salesforce connected to deal stages. [1] [8] [9]

Three moments where they differ

The difference is not a feature list: it is the moment of the sale each tool takes care of.

  1. Before sending: know what the client wants

Better Proposals starts from the template: merge tags, and CRM contact lookup in Premium. No qualification feature is documented; according to the vendor, an AI “can’t sit in on your discovery call”. [2]

Cuevr starts from the deal. The qualification structures the context, needs, project and decision process; you import a note, a transcript or dictate into the microphone. When information is missing, Cuevr flags it and prepares the script for the next meeting; below the target score, it warns you before writing. Sales qualification →

    Cuevr

  2. When writing: a proposal written for this client

Better Proposals has no built-in AI writing, by choice. In Premium and Enterprise, your own AI tool (Claude, Cursor…) connects through MCP and creates a proposal from one of your templates; it does not edit an existing proposal, the rest happens in the editor. Before sending, the Document Checker mostly compares statistics (number of pages, integrations, custom domain) and spots overuse of “I” and “we”. [2] [11]

Cuevr AI writes from three sources: the deal qualification, the company’s knowledge base and specialized agents designed on the best sales methods. It suggests an outline linked to the stakes, then writes the sections one by one. Cuevr then scores the proposal on three axes (personalization, persuasion, professionalism), highlights weak passages and suggests the fix, accepted in one click. The editor and Cuevr AI →

  3. After sending: know who reads, follow up, get it signed

Both tools measure time per reader and per page or section, and spot forwards. Better Proposals lists your follow-ups for the day with Nudge, a paid add-on, and drafts the email you send from your own mailbox. The client signs in the document, which is then locked, then pays and moves on to onboarding. [7] [12] [13]

Cuevr ranks your proposals in “To do today”: twelve signals, including Never opened, Inactive and Strong return, and each reader’s heat, included. The prospect signs where they read, verifies their email with a six-digit code, and each signature creates an evidence file linked to the signed version. Proposal tracking → ·E-signature →

On our grid

Better Proposals does better than Cuevr on “Build the proposal as a team”, “Price and collect payment in the proposal” and “The deal connected to your CRM”. They are tied on “A beautiful, on-brand proposal” and on “Know who reads and when to follow up” (5* against 5: the asterisk marks a paid add-on). Cuevr does better on the other six. Cuevr alone scores 5 on starting from the client’s stakes, reviewing the proposal before sending and answering RFPs and tenders.

How we score: the grid measures what a tool brings a sales team to sign more deals with its proposals, not its compliance or its price. Eleven criteria follow the course of a sale; each one is scored 0, 1, 3 or 5 from observable facts, written down before scoring, the same for Better Proposals and for Cuevr.

Before you switch tools

Can Cuevr and Better Proposals be used together?

Yes, they cover different moments. Cuevr takes the proposals won on substance and RFPs, from qualification to signature. Better Proposals can stay for catalog quotes paid online. If you have documents signed elsewhere, the “Without Cuevr e-signature” option sends the prospect to your own link.

Does Cuevr have e-signature?

Yes, included and unlimited: a simple electronic signature (SES), legally binding. The signer verifies their email with a six-digit code, and each acceptance creates an evidence file linked to the signed version. It is neither advanced nor qualified. In the European Union, it cannot be denied legal effect as evidence solely because it is electronic (eIDAS Regulation, Article 25); in the United States, the ESIGN Act also recognizes it.

I already use my AI assistant with Better Proposals. What does Cuevr AI add?

Your assistant creates a first version from a template, based on your prompt. Cuevr AI works inside Cuevr, with what Cuevr structures for it: the deal qualification, the company’s knowledge base and specialized agents designed on the best sales methods. Then Cuevr scores the proposal before sending. 1,500 Cuevr AI credits per user per month are included; writing by hand is always possible.

Does Cuevr collect payment?

No. Cuevr calculates the quote (discount, VAT, in euros, dollars or pounds), with no catalog or online payment. If a deposit paid at signing matters to you, Better Proposals does it, with Stripe, GoCardless or PayPal.

What happens to my Better Proposals templates?

The copy that works (offer, method, case studies) goes into Cuevr’s knowledge base, which Cuevr AI uses to write each proposal. Your structures become Cuevr templates shared within the team.

Where is my data hosted?

Cuevr is hosted in France. Data is kept in the European Union.

How much does Cuevr cost?

€49 excl. VAT per user per month billed annually, €69 excl. VAT billed monthly, one plan, every feature, from one seat. Trial: 14 days, no credit card (5 proposals created, 1 sent).
