Cuevr or PandaDoc: which one should you choose for your sales proposals?

PandaDoc handles the whole life of a sales document, from quote to payment and signature. Cuevr takes the proposal from the deal to the signature: it qualifies, writes with Cuevr AI, scores the proposal before sending, tracks every reader and gets it signed. Here is what each one does best, with dated sources.

Criterion by criterion

The verdict

Choose based on how you sell.

Choose PandaDoc if…

Documents at volume, from quote to payment

  • You send a lot of quotes, contracts and standardized documents.
  • You want a product catalog, pricing tables and payment inside the document.
  • You want a two-way CRM connection (HubSpot, Salesforce as an add-on).
  • You co-edit as a team with comments and an approval workflow, or you need an advanced or qualified signature (as an add-on).

Less suited if

you want to qualify the deal before writing, know before sending whether the proposal convinces, or answer an RFP within the buyer’s framework.

Choose Cuevr if…

The proposal that gets signed, from deal to signature

  • Every proposal is written for one client and has to convince several decision makers.
  • You want to qualify the deal, then have Cuevr AI write from the qualification, your knowledge base and specialized agents designed on the best sales methods.
  • You want to know before sending whether it convinces, then who reads it, which section, and when to follow up.
  • You also answer RFPs and tenders, public and private.

Less suited if

you need a native CRM connector (Cuevr connects through its API and webhooks), comments in the proposal, a product catalog, online payment or an advanced or qualified signature.

If you remember one thing

PandaDoc starts from your templates and goes all the way to payment; Cuevr qualifies the deal and writes the proposal for this client.

In short

Definition

Quick answer

PandaDoc is the right choice to produce quotes, contracts and standardized documents at volume, connected to the CRM and paid at signing. Cuevr is the right choice to get proposals written for each client signed: it qualifies the deal, writes with Cuevr AI, scores the proposal before sending, tracks every reader and gets it signed; it also answers RFPs and tenders. The two can work side by side: Cuevr for proposals, PandaDoc for contracts.

What PandaDoc does really well

PandaDoc is a mature platform for sales and contract documents. It covers creation, sending, signature and payment, and is used beyond sales too. For a team that sends many standardized documents, it is a solid choice.

  • Co-editing

Several team members edit the same document at the same time, with their avatars displayed [3]; inline comments from Starter, approvals with ordering and approver groups in the Business plan [1].

  • Quoting and payment

Quote builder, pricing tables, product catalog and optional pricing in the Business plan; Stripe payment from Starter, PayPal, Square, Authorize.net and QuickBooks Payments in the Business plan [1].

  • The CRM, both ways

With HubSpot, the document is created from the deal, then the stage moves to won or lost according to its status, the deal’s properties and line items update and the PDF is attached: an add-on at $39 a month per account in the Business plan, included in Enterprise [4]. Salesforce: two-way sync, as a paid add-on [5]. The other CRMs are included in the Business plan [1].

  • Three levels of signature

Simple electronic signature included, with audit trail and tamper-evident seal [1]; advanced signature when the recipient’s identity verification is enabled, and qualified through trust service providers [6], as a paid add-on [1].

  • Beyond sales

Contract negotiation, redlining, renewal notifications, mobile app; forms and bulk send as paid add-ons [1].

  • International

Interface in eight languages, including Spanish, French and German [12].

Three moments where they differ

The difference is not a feature list: it is the moment of the sale each tool takes care of.

  1. Before sending: know what the client wants

PandaDoc starts from the document: template variables, products imported from the CRM into a pricing table [1]. It documents no discovery preparation. Cuevr starts from the deal. The qualification structures the context, needs, project and decision process; Cuevr reads your notes, files and transcripts, shows where each piece of information comes from, flags what is missing and prepares the script for the next meeting. Below the organization’s target score, it warns you before writing. You write about a deal you understand.

  2. When writing: a proposal written for this client

PandaDoc assembles the document from your templates, the content library (Business plan) and conditional content for sellers (Enterprise) [1] [10]. Its AI writing assistant is in limited beta: it rewrites, changes the tone, writes from pasted notes and fills variables, but does not yet touch the document’s structure or pricing tables [7]. Cuevr AI writes from three sources worked together: the deal qualification, the company’s knowledge base and specialized agents designed on the best sales methods. Cuevr AI suggests an outline linked to the client’s stakes, then writes the sections you keep, in an editor with your branding. Before sending, Cuevr scores the proposal out of 100 (personalization, persuasion, professionalism) and places its recommendations in the text: one click applies them.

  3. After sending: know who reads, and get it signed

PandaDoc measures time spent per page and per recipient, views, downloads and clicks, in the Business plan [8], and follows up with the client through automatic reminders [1]; it documents no follow-up alert for the seller. Cuevr publishes the proposal as a web page with your branding: each invited reader appears by name, with their reading time section by section and their heat. The dashboard tells you which proposals need action today. The prospect signs where they read: they verify their email with a six-digit code, and acceptance creates an evidence file linked to the signed version. You follow up with a concrete reason.

On our grid

The eleven criteria of our comparison, scored 0, 1, 3 or 5 on the same levels for everyone. PandaDoc does better than Cuevr on “Build the proposal as a team”, “Price and collect payment in the proposal” and “The deal connected to your CRM”. They are tied on “Get signed without friction or dispute” (5* against 5: the asterisk marks a paid add-on). Cuevr does better on the other seven criteria.

How we score: the grid measures what a tool brings a sales team to sign more deals with its proposals, not its compliance or its price. Each criterion is scored from observable facts, written down before scoring, the same for PandaDoc and for Cuevr. We score the best published offer, add-ons included.

« We won our first deal through Cuevr. The tool truly made the difference in helping us stand out from competitors who stayed surface-level. The format was a hit with the client too: "easy to pick up and share." »

Before you switch tools

Can Cuevr and PandaDoc be used together?

Yes, they cover different moments. Cuevr takes the sales proposal, from deal qualification to signature. PandaDoc can keep standardized contracts, forms and payments. If your contract is signed in PandaDoc, the “Without Cuevr e-signature” option replaces the signature button with a link to your own signing process.

Does Cuevr have e-signature?

Yes, included and unlimited: a simple electronic signature (SES), legally binding. The signer verifies their email with a six-digit code, and each acceptance creates an evidence file linked to the signed version. It is neither advanced nor qualified. In the European Union, it cannot be denied legal effect as evidence solely because it is electronic (eIDAS Regulation, Article 25); in the United States, the ESIGN Act also recognizes it.

What happens to my PandaDoc templates?

The copy that works (offer, method, case studies) goes into Cuevr’s knowledge base: PandaDoc exports your documents as PDF or Word, and Cuevr reads them. Cuevr AI uses them to write each proposal. Your recurring structures become Cuevr templates, shared with the team.

Does Cuevr connect to my CRM?

Through its API and webhooks, included in the plan: a proposal is created from a CRM deal, and reads, signature and outcome flow back to your tools, for example with Make or n8n. Cuevr has no ready-made native connector: the scenario is set up once.

Where is my data hosted?

Cuevr is hosted in France. Data is kept in the European Union.

How much does Cuevr cost?

€49 excl. VAT per user per month billed annually, €69 excl. VAT billed monthly, one plan, every feature, from one seat. Trial: 14 days, no credit card (5 proposals created, 1 sent).

Method and sources

We compare the two tools on the moments of a proposal-led sale, keeping the rows where PandaDoc does as well or better. Each row answers on the same scale for both tools: never a tick against a nuance. The facts about PandaDoc come from its help center and plan comparison, read on the date shown; a feature seen only in marketing does not count, a feature in beta is labeled beta. The facts about Cuevr come from our offer and documentation. The scores apply our editorial grid, the same for every tool. We make Cuevr. A vendor can report an error to us: we correct it within 5 business days.
